About the Film

Inspired by Ernest Hemingway’s The Killers, the film expands into a fractured, episodic story about violence, survival, and the creative process.

Made independently in Northwest Arkansas, Daisy Killers was built around the places, people, and resources available to us. The feature was shot for roughly $5,000 over ten production days, with an average crew of about eight people and locations spread across Northwest Arkansas and rural parts of the state. What began as an idea for a short film grew over several years into a feature designed specifically around the possibilities and limitations of microbudget filmmaking.
